It can be difficult to figure out how to dress your body when your belly keeps expanding; especially when you still have rules to follow in the workplace. Although you may want to show up to work in a comfy sweatsuit and slippers, we have a feeling your boss may frown upon that idea.
Angelina Jolie was excellent at figuring out how to dress her body in a professional manner when she was pregnant with twins. To get a look inspired by her, read on!
FIND THE RIGHT BLAZER:
You have two options here; you can either buy a regular suit jacket (or wear one you already have) and leave it unbuttoned as Angelina opted to do, or you can buy a maternity suit jacket. Maternity jackets tend to have one button under the bust to allow room for your belly. The key here is fit; be sure your jacket is the right size so it doesn’t look like you borrowed your husband’s!
We tend to prefer Angelina’s look, a normal suit jacket left unbuttoned. If that’s what you like as well, then check out this one-button jacket from JCPenney. It’s essential to wear a longer length jacket if you choose this option so that it drapes nicely around your protruding belly. The one-button design will also allow you to wear it closed during the early months of your pregnancy.

FIND THE RIGHT MATERNITY PANTS:
To balance out your belly, look for wide leg maternity trousers. JCPenney offers some great black cuffed trousers that have a comfortable knit waist panel that will stretch as your belly expands. Be sure and buy your correct size, they should still fit you through the hips and thighs; oversized pants, although they may be comfortable, only look sloppy and unprofessional.

FIND A MATERNITY CAMI:

If you love heels, be sure and pick out the right ones during pregnancy. You should be looking for low, wide heels that are about 2” or lower. Make sure they also have good arch support (or buy some inserts to achieve this), and that they are slip-ons (it’s difficult to bend over with a belly in the way!).
